As a believer in Jesus Christ, I would like to invite you to examine God's Word, the Bible, along with me. Even if you are not certain if God exists or that the Bible is true, I hope you will open your heart and mind to the possibility that you need to know Jesus and consider accepting God's Free Gift of Eternal Life.

Community BBQ Luncheon Honors Military at Seal Beach NWS

The Cypress Church Knights of the Holy Grill will be at Anchor Field in Seal Beach on Sunday, April 27, 2008 to provide a BBQ lunch for the military. The purpose of the event is to thank the Seal Beach NWS community for their service and sacrifice. The luncheon will be held from 11 am until 3 pm and will include BBQ pork, hamburgers, hot dogs and all the “fixings.” Residents who live at NWS Seal Beach, military retirees, base employees and their families are invited. There will be games and activities for all ages.
Cypress Church sponsors Bible studies at 7:00 pm Wednesday evenings that are open to everyone in the Naval Weapons Station community. There will be a new Sunday Bible study beginning on May 4, 2008 at 11:00 am. The Bible studies are held at Bunker 33 on Forrestal Road. The church has sponsored many events in support of our men and women in uniform. In the past year they have held activities at the Joint Forces Training Center in Los Alamitos and at Camp Pendleton.
Cypress Church is located at 6143 Ball Road just east of Valley View. Sunday worship services are at 8:45 am and 10:30 am. For more information about the NWS BBQ contact Laura or Steve Matayoshi at (562) 493-2438 or the church office at (714) 952-3001. You may also email: matayoshiarmy@aol.com.
